PMR is a relaxation technique that involves you slowly tensing and relaxing each muscle group.

Muscle tension is linked to stress and anxiety. PMR focuses on the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. This relaxation technique brings awareness to physical sensations that occur when a person is experiencing stress.
